Sauk Centre Civic Arena: COVID-19 Restrictions

Effective Thursday, January 14th, 2021
ARENA ATTENDANCE
PRACTICE SESSIONS:
  • Limited to one spectator per player at ALL levels. 
GAME/ TOURNAMENT SESSIONS:
  • Limited to two spectators per player at ALL levels. 
    • Exception: player siblings can attend with parent/guardians
 
ARRIVAL AT THE ARENA
PLAYERS/COACHES & SPECTATORS:
  • Parking permitted in the south or west parking lot only. 
    • East parking lot must remain open for player pick-up & drop-off.
  • No equipment bags will be allowed with the exception of goalies. Small drawstring bags or small backpacks may be used to help carry small items and store personal belongings. Coaches & officials may also bring in bags to carry supplies for practice. 
  • May arrive no earlier than 10-minutes before scheduled ice session. 
    • ​​​​​​​Goalies may arrive no earlier than 15-minutes before scheduled ice session. 
  • Required to complete the check-in & screening form prior to entering the arena. 
    • Scan the QR code provided above.
  • Enter the arena using the lower-level east doors or south mezzanine doors.
  • Seating is available for players & coaches outside the locker rooms to put on skates, helmet, & gloves. 
    • The SCCA has ample area for players to dress so NO locker rooms will be used at the youth hockey. 
  • Once dressed players & coaches can take the ice immediately once arena staff have completed resurfacing.
 
DEPARTING THE ARENA 
PLAYERS & COACHES:
  • Must exit the arena within 10-minutes from team activities ending. 
  • Exit using the lower-level east doors clearly marked "exit", no loitering is allowed by anyone. 
SPECTATORS: 
  • Must exit the arena IMMEDIATLY following the ice activity they are watching is over. 
  • Exit using the south mezzanine doors clearly marked "exit", no loitering is allowed by anyone. 
GENERAL INFORMATION
FACE COVERINGS:
  • Per MN Mandate, EVERYONE attending activities at the Sauk Centre Civic Arena must wear a face covering while inside the Arena including players, coaches, and spectators. Refusal to wear a face covering will result in being asked to leave the facility immediately. 
    • ​​​​​​​Exception: players/spectators five and under are nor required to wear a mask.

UPDATE: 01/12/2021
Minnesota Hockey released an updated version of Phase 5 of it Return to Play Guidelines. Key changes include: Strongly discouraging locker room use, but no longer preventing it, allowing small drawstring bags or small backpacks to carry smaller items, allowing goaltenders 15 minutes before scheduled ice time as opposed to 10 minutes to get dressed. For the full MN Hockey Return to Play Phase 5 Guidelines document, CLICK HERE.

Minnesota Hockey released Phase 5 of its Return to Play Guidelines. Beginning Thursday, January 14th, 2021, youth sports are allowed to play games under restrictions. For the full MN Hockey Return to Play Phase 5 Guidelines document, CLICK HERE. 
 
UPDATED: 12/28/2020

Governor Tim Walz implemented executive order 20-103 ordering organized youth sports to stop all in-person activities including practices , group workouts, games, and tournaments till January 3, 2021 at 11:59PM. After 01/03/21 at 11:59PM organized youth sports intending to operate must do so in accordance to state guidelines. For full details on Executive Order 20-103, CLICK HERE.
